‘IAC Iguape’: New dark red color anthurium (Anthurium andraeanum Linden) cultivar for cut flower production.


‘IAC Iguape’ shows red sphate and white spadix. It was selected among seedlings introduced from local growers to IAC Experimental Station at Ribeira River Valley, in São Paulo State. Micropropagated plants are cultivated under 80% shade net on organic soil. Two years old plants produced an average of 3,7 flower during eleven months of controlled harvest. Post-harvest keeping is around 20 days.
