Orchids seedling production in vitro
and its economical viability: study case.
The orchids propagation by seed in vitro is a
disseminated form to multiplication of the botanical
species in the Orchidaceae. The objective of this work
was to evaluate the orchid seedling production
through the case exemplified by the Orchid Tissue
Culture Laboratory in the Botanical Institute, São
Paulo, Brazil. The results show that the cost of production
represented 52% of the rentability and the
price of the only seedling is the R$0,65.
