Micropropagation of new selections of Anthurium andraeanum.

As a result of the breeding program on Anthurium andraeanum Lindl. at the Floriculture and Ornamental Plants Dept. of the Instituto Agronômico, Campinas SP, severa} new hybrids have been propagated by leaf explant. The following micropropagation procedure established for this species is: a) Sterilization: ethanol 70º GL per 10 seconds, solution of 1,5% CaOCl2 + Tween 20 per 10 minutes and 3 rinses on sterilized water; b) Inoculation medium: according to PIERIK (1976) modified; c) Transfer media: as PIERIK (1976) modified only the solid media; d) Rooting media: according to PIERIK (1976) modified or MS, with 20g/liter sucrose.
