About Ornamental Horticulture
It is the scientific journal of the Brazilian Society of Floriculture and Ornamental Plants (SBFPO), publishing uninterruptedly since 1995. It went from print to digital, following the trends of the scientific world.
It is currently the main journal of Floriculture and Ornamental Plants in Latin America and with a worldwide coverage, receiving manuscripts from different countries, in all continents. In Brazil, it is among the largest scientific journals in the field of Agricultural Sciences.
Ornamental Horticulture (OH) has been characterized in recent years as a journal of rapid publication of articles with strict peer review, with characters and editorial dynamics in all spheres, inserted in the international quality standard. Even with budget restrictions, the journal has been increasingly consolidating itself as a great channel for publishing thematic works in the field of floriculture, ornamental plants and landscaping.
A very important factor of our journal is compliance with the requirements of the main indexers, both national (SciELO) and international (Scopus and Clarivate).
As for Scopus, OH has shown increasing CiteScore indices, which proves the growth and impact of the journal in the scientific community (in 2016 = 0.1; in 2022 = 1.70). On the same basis (Scopus), the highest percentile went from 7th in 2016 to 40th in 2021, proving the consolidation of the journal.
As for Clarivate, OH is indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), the first step towards obtaining the impact factor (JCR).
These good indices have a direct impact on the Qualis/CAPES classification of OH, especially in relation to the percentile (current classification criterion).
We invite the scientific community to give prestige to the journal with their best work, with a view to increase and consolidate the journal and disseminating knowledge in the area of floriculture, ornamental plants and landscaping.
